Body with chopped hands, almost severed neck found

A man in his 20s was found dead by the lakeside in Taman Velox, Rawang near here today with both hands chopped off at the wrist and the neck almost severed.

Gombak deputy police chief Supt Rosly Hassan said the body was found by a farmer who was passing by the area at 4pm.

In an SMS today, he said the victim was believed to have died for more than four days based on the advanced stage of decomposition of the corpse.

The identify of the body wearing a plaid shirt and a pair of jeans was unknown as there were no identification documents found.

The corpse had a tatoo on the right hand and was believed to have been killed in a nearby area as there were signs of struggle and patches of blood, he said.

The body has been brought to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.
