COVID: Ex-patients urged to share experiences to raise awareness among public

KOTA BHARU: Former COVID-19 patients have been urged to act as "ambassadors" by sharing their experiences with the public about the sufferings they endured when they were infected with the virus.
Kelantan COVID-19 Quarantine and Low Risk Treatment Cenre (PKRC) director Dr Mohd Azman Yacob said that as former patients, they would have a better understanding of the pandemic and their experience would surely help create awareness among the public.
"I always emphasised to the patients at the PKRC that they are the like the 'ambassadors' of COVID-19 and to do their part in raising awareness of the disease when they are discharged from the quarantine.
"They can stress on the importance to comply with the 3C (crowded place, confined space, close conversation) and 3W (wash, wear, warn) as well as to maintain physical distancing and avoid being in crowded places," he told reporters after monitoring the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Health Campus PKRC in Kubang Kerian, here, today.
Earlier, he received a contribution of 400 toiletries from Persatuan Kebajikan Kasih Sayang (Ai Xin) Malaysia and Kerabat DiRaja Kelantan, Tengku Ibrahim Farihaddin Tengku Feissal.
Meanwhile, Mohd Azman expressed his gratitude to the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that had channelled various contributions to all the PKRC in the state.
