Gerakan president Datuk Mah Siew Keong said on Thursday the recent resignations of four Melaka DAP elected representatives showed that there was a lot of unhappiness in the opposition political party.
He said one of them, Kota Melaka Member of Parliament Sim Tong Him who had been in the party for 43 years, claimed that the DAP had changed and had deviated from its political aspiration.
"So, maybe, they think that they cannot do wrong, that whatever they do, the rakyat will still support them. I think they have changed and become very proud," he said.
Mah, who is Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister, said this after attending a consultation session on the 'Way Forward for MSPO (Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil) Certification' here on Thursday.
Apart from Sim, the three others who quit DAP are assemblymen Lim Jak Wong (Bachang), Chin Choon Seong (Kesidang) and Goh Leong San (Duyong).
