Dress code during last respects for Sultan Azlan Shah
Perak Sultan, Sultan Azlan Shah, 86, passed away at 1.30pm today.
Those wishing to pay their last respects to the Sultan of Perak Sultan Azlan Shah have to be properly attired.
The Perak Menteri Besar Office, in a statement, said Muslim men were required to wear dark national dress with dark 'samping' without any gold or silver lining and a songkok with a one-inch white band or ribbon.
It said non-Muslim men would have to wear dark lounge suit with dark tie or long pants with long sleeve shirt with a three-inch black armband on the left sleeve.
Meanwhile, Muslim women are required to wear baju kurung or dress with black scarf while non-Muslim women should dress modestly and wear a three-inch armband on the left sleeve.
The public can pay their last respects at the throne room of the Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar from 11 am to 2 pm tomorrow.
