Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad of the Attorney-General's Chambers has been appointed Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission effective Aug 1 to July 31, 2021, said Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa.
Ali said in a statement today that Dzulkifli, who is Director of the National Revenue Recovery Enforcement Team in the Attorney-General's Chambers, takes over from Tan Sri Dr Abu Kassim Mohamed who will be Integrity Consultant at the Faculty of Law of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).
Ali said the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had consented to Dzulkifli's appointment as per subsection 5(1) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (Act 694).
On June 23, Ali announced that Abu Kassim, 55, would cease to be the MACC chief commissioner from Aug 1 as he intended.
As per subsection 5(3) of the MACC Act 2009, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong consented to accept Abu Kassim's application to terminate his service with a month's notice.
Ali also announced that Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry Secretary-General Tan Sri Dr Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur takes over as Higher Education Ministry Secretary-General on Aug 5 from Datuk Seri Ir Dr Zaini Ujang.
Zaini would assume the post of Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry Secretary-General on Aug 5, replacing Datuk Loo Took Gee who retires on that date, he said.
Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) Datuk Dr Mohd Azhar Yahaya will take over as the ministry's secretary-general from Noorul Ainur, he said.
Ali also announced that MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Mustafar Ali would take over as the Director-General of Immigration on Aug 1 from Datuk Seri Sakib Kusmi who has been transferred to the Public Service Department.
