WHAT makes a politician's political journey ends? Like a long-sequel movie.

Recently, the United Kingdom's Theresa May, a woman prime minister who had been leading the UK to formalise the Britain Exit or Brexit, which was her signature national agenda, had expressed her finally-made resignation.

Unlike Najib Razak who was defeated in a general election, Theresa May voluntarily quit from politics as she conceded to non-stop pressures that knifed her leadership after series of failures on finalising the Brexit deal.

The announcement of the woman prime minister's resignation was a long-awaited moment for most of the Brit MPs, including her same-coalition colleagues, who had been critical against her Brexit proposals.

The "shocking" news of the May's resignation that I first read on CNN was another story of politics with 1,001 lessons that can be delved by the local elected politicians, especially those who arrogantly believe that being "electorally elected" means "My position remains till the next poll, despite my poor performances and immoralities."

Theresa May is not the first global political leader who quits as a prime minister. There were several global politicians who previously relinquished their political positions voluntarily for many reasons.

Many of them had openly professed their mistakes, wrongdoings, abuses of power, and "poor deliveries" of which not every local politician, be it government or opposition, has real guts to do the same.

If a filmmaker is remembered because of his great films, a politician should also be done the same for being religiously allegiant, scandalously clean, morally respectable, and of course, socially loveable.

To some politicians, being "voted" on the ballot only means "I am now a people's leader, who are you?"

Responsible elected politicians, beside always be with the people, must have unquestionable values of morality as taught in their religions.

Politicians must bear in mind that without people's votes, they won't be who they are today.

People don't just need a leader who can continuously and constructively reform their lives, but also lead with examples.

Leading with examples is spineless if a leader only "works for a better nation", but behind the curtain, he is a crime he publicly opposes.

Sometimes, whenever we feel irate to certain politicians, we would do a monologue— "What is the meaning of having political leaders if they are dysfunctional and hopeless? They said they are hopeful."

Theresa May might be indecently lambasted for being "mentally-unfit leader" after quitting a job that every UK politician dreams for.

But her decision of giving up her political throne proves that politics, like many other professions, is worthless if a leader doesn't have best and likeable recipes that can please the people.

To greedy politicians, being a leader is a privilege and specialty that must not be left unchallenged to rivals whom they think are "threatening".

Some faith-unbeliever politicians will do whatever it takes to completely slaughter their opponents and enemies whose existences and qualities threaten their political breaths.

To responsible politicians, standing as a leader is a heaviest duty that must be carried dedicatedly, honestly, decisively and progressively.

A leader, like other God's creatures, is not and won't be perfect. But in politics, 'human imperfections' that painfully cause troubles and liabilities to party and national leadership images should not be tolerated and must be instantly mended by new capable replacements.

Politicians and their political journeys are not immortal. One day, if they feel that it's time to call it a day, they will pass the baton to their successors.

Nothing lasts forever.
