Fahmi Reza claims trial to posting doctored image of Prime Minister

Activist Mohd Fahmi Reza Mohd Zarin pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court today for allegedly publishing an edited image of a clown depicting prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He was accused of uploading the image to his Instagram in January.
According to the charge sheet, Fahmi Reza, 39, was charged for misusing his Instagram account @kuasasiswa to make and begin sending out communications that are false with intent to offend others.
The accused has allegedly committed the offence in Bandar Bukit Puchong 2, Puchong at 6 pm on January 31, 2016.
Upon conviction, he can be fined not more than RM50,000 or prisoned up to one year or both.
The court set bail at RM5,000 for Fahmi Reza with one surety and fixed June 17 for case mention.
