GE15: MUDA's Mutalib Uthman to contest in Masjid Tanah

MELAKA: Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) executive committee member Mutalib Uthman will be the party's sole candidate in Melaka in the 15th General Election (GE15) after being picked to contest the Masjid Tanah parliamentary seat.

When announcing this in a press conference today, Melaka Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Adly Zahari said the Perak-born candidate was selected based on his experience as one of the founders of MUDA, and also served as Kota Buku Corporation chief executive officer and founder of DuBook press.

He said the participation of young people in this election is very important because it will shape the future of the country.

"This GE15 is an important election for Melaka and Malaysia to determine the direction and future of the country, so we are fielding a candidate for this parliamentary seat based on his experience.

"We are also paying attention to party activists who have been working for the people for a long time," he said.
