Former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman will travel the state to campaign for Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) candidates contesting in the 16th Sabah state election.
“Actually, I don’t really plan to go to the ground to campaign...I was thinking of enjoying my retirement for a while, but for the sake of my comrades, my good friends and my brothers...here I am, willing to help as much as I could so that, InsyaAllah, they can win the election.
“I will, as much as possible, try to remind the people and educate them so that they will not be fooled,” he said at the meet-and-greet event with Perikatan Nasional candidate for Sulaman seat Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor in Kampung Indai near here today.
Also present were UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan and Sabah PAS Commissioner Mohd Aminuddin Aling.
Musa also praised Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s concern over the problems faced by the people and the numerous economic stimulus packages introduced to help alleviate their burdens following the spread of COVID-19.
“There’s an old saying, 'ada ubi ada batas, ada budi boleh dibalas'' (what you give you get back). Tan Sri Muhyiddin has done a lot for us, now it’s time for us to return the favour...it’s not so difficult, just give our votes. Like here in Sulaman, just vote for candidate number three (Hajiji)...and we are safe. The same goes in Kiulu and Tamparuli,” he said.
He added that voters in Sulaman should vote for Hajiji to continue being their representative as the Sabah Bersatu chief is a hard-working, kind, sincere, dedicated and always concerned about the people in the state constituency.
