Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak joined more than 2,000 guests for "Majlis Tahlil dan Kesyukuran" in conjunction with his 40 years involvement in politics at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here tonight.
The Prime arrived at 7.10pm with his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor for the event organised by UMNO and were welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Also present were Wanita UMNO chief Datuk Seri Shahrizad Abdul Jalil, UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and UMNO Information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
Najib then joined the guests for the Maghrib prayers led by imam from Makkah, Sheikh Mohd Idris Mohd Al-Mashrafi followed by Tahlil, "kesyukuran" and Yassin prayers and the Isyak prayers.
