ALOR GAJAH: The Barisan Nasional (BN) election operations in Melaka are now being taken over by the new generation thus proving the party's confidence in the involvement of young people in the party machinery, said Melaka BN chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh .
The Melaka UMNO Liaison Committee chairman said it was in line with the change in the country's political landscape and Melaka BN's reform measures which highlighted young candidates especially to draw the support of young voters.
He spoke to reporters after attending the closing of the Voluntourism: Tanjung Bidara Beach Clean Up programme here today.
The 15th general election is set for Nov 19, with early voting on Nov 15.
