Pakatan Harapan still wants to hold their rally at Padang Timur, Dataran Petaling Jaya on Saturday, despite being advised by the police to change the location.

Selangor Pakatan Harapan chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the rally organisers are in talks with the police over the matter.

"I have not received any further information on the discussions but they (discussions) are being held for the rally to be held at Padang Timur.

"Discussions are being held to ensure that the rally will not disturb the nearby residents and cause traffic congestion in the area," said Mohamed Azmin, who is also Selangor Menteri Besar, after launching the Selangor Innovation Appreciation Ceremony 2017 here, Thursday.

He said this to reporters when asked about the advice of Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun to change the location of the rally to Kelana Jaya Stadium to facilitate police control.

On Wednesday, police did not allow the rally to be held at Padang Timur based on security factors and police reports lodged by local residents who objected to the rally being held in the area.
