Among the headlines for Tuesday, 13 April, 2021, Malaysia reports 1,767 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24-hours, bringing the total number of infections in the country since the pandemic began to 363,940.
According to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Sarawak topped the list with 607 new COVID-19 infections reported.
Also, Australia’s health authorities reported a second case of a rare blood clot syndrome which “is likely” linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The country’s vaccine rollout was thrown into disarray by an advisory slapped on the AstraZeneca vaccine warning people under 50 it may cause extremely rare but potentially deadly blood clots.
