Police nab four men for robbery in North East district
Police said in the operation, dubbed 'Ops Rentap', the first suspect, aged 18, was picked up at Sungai Nibong on Friday.
The police have detained four men, including two teenagers in connection with robbery cases in North East District.
North East District police chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said in the operation, dubbed 'Ops Rentap', the first suspect, aged 18, was picked up at Sungai Nibong on Friday.
"Initial investigation revealed that the teenager also involved in snatch theft at Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah here recently and some other cases," he said.
The police also seized various items believed to be part of the suspect's loot such as mobile phones, bags and a motorcycle.
He said another suspect, aged 20, who was active in Sungai Nibong, was detained at Datuk Keramat here yesterday.
"Following the arrest, police also seized a motorcycle believed to be used during robberies and in the midst of tracking down his accomplice," he said.
Two other suspects, aged 18 and 20, were picked up at Jelutong yesterday in connection with robbery cases around the district since early this year. - Bernama
