PPR Intan Baiduri blaze: Police not ruling out arson

The police have not ruled out arson in the fire which occurred at Block E of the Intan Baiduri People's Housing Project (PPR) here early yesterday morning.

"We have not identified the combustible material or suspect involved yet," Sentul police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan told Bernama when contacted.

There were no casualties in the blaze at the motorcycle parking lot but 21 motorbikes and one Proton Iswara Aeroback car were scorched, he said.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Operations Team senior operations commander Rodzlan Othman said they received the distress call from a member of the public at 6.33am.

"We managed to control the fire from spreading in 10 minutes," he said.
