Rahman Dahlan to take legal action against Malaysiakini
Abdul Rahman claims Malaysiakini's reports on his recent statements about the toll hike and urban-rural migration were 'out of line' and did not give the true context.
Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan is taking action against Malaysiakini to clear his name over reports by the online portal.
He was referring to several reports by the online media on his statements on toll hike and urban-rural migration made during a press conference last Nov 3.
He claimed the news report by the online portal was out of line and did not give the true context.
"My answers to questions posed during the media conference was misunderstood," he told a media conference at his office here today.
He said the reports by the online portal had smeared his reputation and drew the ire of the public.
Abdul Rahman said his lawyer had served a letter of demand for the news portal to apologise and withdraw the reports within seven days.
