Suspect who 'kidnapped' Wan Aisyah calls police
The suspect who allegedly kidnapped a three-year-old girl has contacted the police.
This was confirmed by Gombak OCPD Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahim Abdullah.
Abdul Rahim said following the call by the suspect, the police has urged the man to come forward to give a statement regarding the incident.
“The man is on his way to the Gombak Police Station from another state, to give his statement,” Abdul Rahim told Astro Awani.
Abdul Rahim said the case is currently being investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code for child abduction.
However, he said that the police do not rule out the possibility of the case’s motive as kidnap.
The news of Wan Aisyah Wan Exzan’s disappearance went viral in the social media after her mother, Arbaiyah Md Zin posted images of the girl being carried away by the suspect, in Facebook.
The incident allegedly happened in Jaya Jusco in Rawang.
Arbaiyah, who is divorced, later lodged a police report regarding the incident.
Yesterday, the suspect’s mother brought the girl to the Sungai Nibong police station.
According to the police, Arbaiyah and the man is supposed to get married after Hari Raya.
