Tourism tax: Malaysians exempted, foreigners to pay flat rate of RM10 per night
Foreign tourists, however, will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per night for all types of hotels.
Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said locals will be fully exempted from paying the much talked about Tourism Tax.
Foreign tourists, however, will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per night for all types of hotels.
Nazri said this at Parliament today while responding to a question from Anthony Loke (DAP - Seremban).
The tax was initially set to see rates of between RM2.50 to RM20 charged for a night's stay.
