Victims of flash floods in Hulu Langat to receive aid from Nadma - Shahidan

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said the victims who were evacuated to flood relief centres had been identified.

"So far, we have identified 111 victims who had registered themselves at the centres but I was informed that there are many who have not registered. I therefore, urge victims who have yet to register, to do so quickly so that assistance can be provided.

"Insyaallah, Nadma will give financial aid and other forms of assistance like shifting allowance," he told reporters after visiting areas affected by flash floods in Hulu Langat, today.

Shahidan also visited the family of Taufik Alias, 24, who drowned during the flash floods and his body found near Sungai Tanjung Niah, here yesterday.

Torrential rain that lasted for about two hours yesterday, triggered flash floods in Hulu Langat from Batu 13 to Batu 19.
