No Malaysians have been reported to be involved in the Indonesian military aircraft crash in Medan, Wisma Putra said.

“The Ministry, through its Consulate General in Medan, Indonesia, will continue to monitor the situation,” it said in a media statement.

“Malaysia is saddened to learn of the crash of an Indonesian military aircraft in Medan, Sumatera on 30 June 2015,” the statement read.

“Malaysia wishes to extend its deep sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Indonesia, especially the bereaved family members on their loss,” Wisma Putra said.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the plane crash has risen to 141, AFP reported.

"We have received 141 bodies," Agustinus Tarigan, a police official at a hospital in the city, told AFP Wednesday.

The plane crashed and exploded in a ball of flames in a residential area of the western city on Tuesday, heavily damaging buildings and reducing cars to flaming wrecks.
