Year Six student slips into coma after falling from ceiling in Keningau

A Year Six student came crashing down through the ceiling of a two floor school building at Sekolah Kebangsaan Ansip, Keningau and slipped into a coma.
During the 9.10am incident, the student, identified as Dylause Dionel, was said to have asked the teacher's permission to go to the washroom. However, when the student did not return after a long delay, the teacher went out of the class in search of him before finding him of the floor with injuries.
With the help of other students and teachers, Dylause was sent to the Keningau Hospital.
Sabah Education director Datuk Jame Alip said the school headmaster had lodged a police report over the incident.
He said police in Keningau had already recorded statements from his friends. Acting Keningau police chief ASP Merbin Lisa when contacted by Bernama said the student is still being treated at the hospital and still unconscious.
