Zainol Fadzi appreciates name in list of candidates as Perak MB

IPOH: Perak Perikatan Nasional (PN) secretary Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin expressed his appreciation that his name is among those nominated to be Perak Menteri Besar if PN is given the mandate in the 15th General Election (GE15).

He said it is normal for political parties to have their list of MB candidates, like the one mentioned by Perak PN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu recently, in elections.

Ahmad Faizal was reported to have said recently that Zainol and Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria were among the names in the list of Perak MB candidates that will be presented to the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, for his consent.

"There is nothing wrong with putting forward the names of MB candidates. The decision is subject to consent by His Highness the Sultan. Thank you for having me on the list," said Zainol after the launch of the Perak PN manifesto by Ahmad Faizal here today.

Zainol has been fielded as the PN candidate for the Sungai Manik state seat and the Teluk Intan parliamentary seat in GE15.
