PETALING JAYA: The grandparents of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin will be released on police bail today after they were detained yesterday to assist in the investigation into the murder of the autistic boy.
District police chief ACP Shahrulnizam Jaafar confirmed the matter when contacted by Bernama.
"They were only detained for 24 hours to have their statements recorded and will be released today...they will not be taken to court (for remand)," he said.
Yesterday, the couple was detained at their home in Puncak Alam at 2.30 pm.
