DAP candidates to use Warisan logo in Sabah state election

Sabah DAP acting chairman Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung said this is to demonstrate amity and unity with Warisan Plus.

"Though we are rather sad for the DAP to forgo our traditional "rocket" symbol and instead to use Warisan logo, this is the right thing to do," he said in a statement, here today.

Poon said DAP have collectively decided to accept the suggestion by Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal to use a common logo.

"For Sabah DAP, this move signifies and exemplifies our genuine call for unity among Warisan Plus component parties by the people of Sabah," he said.

Sabah Warisan Plus led by Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) is using "Lepa Lepa" (traditional boat) symbol.

The Election Commission has set Sept 12 for nomination and Sept 26 for polling.
