The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency recently made a comment that Singapore is ready to adopt nuclear power, and could do so, possibly in collaboration with its ASEAN neighbours. Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the IA-EA, believes the Republic is “prepared” to host nuclear power, citing its institutional maturity and decarbonisation goals.
