Consider This: Violence Against Girls | Are We Missing the Warning Signs?

A series of recent cases involving violence against girls has raised fresh concerns about the safety of girls and young women. The Law Minister has asked that these cases be examined for possible gender-based violence, including whether rejection, jealousy, and a sense of entitlement are contributing to violence against women and girls. With Budget 2027 being tabled tomorrow, and International Day of the Girl coming up this weekend, are we doing enough to prevent violence against girls, rather than simply responding after it happens? On this episode of #ConsiderThis Melisa Idris speaks with Ain Husniza Saiful Nizam, Founder and Executive Director of the youth-led NGO, Pocket of Pink, and Karen Lai, Executive Director, Women's Centre for Change (WCC).
