Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said no one should interfere in his commitment to lead the country.
"As Prime Minister, it is my responsibility to make the right decisions for all Malaysians. More than that, it is my duty," he wrote on his Facebook today.
"It is a sacred trust, and no one should attempt to interfere with or hijack that obligation to lead," he added.
Najib said he was elected by the people and is proud and humbled to bear that mandate. He added that it is the right of the people to give and to take away.
"It does not belong to any individual, however eminent," he wrote.
