PM unveils policies to increase bumiputeras' participation in economy

Today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to announce policies to increase Bumiputeras' participation in the country's economic sector in line with the objective to transform Malaysia into an advanced nation by 2020.

Najib, who is also the Finance Minister, is expected to focus on human capital development, equity and property ownership.

The successful implementation of the policies at every stage will be an essential tool to ensure the effectiveness of this economic boost.

Even though there have been policities introduced in the past to boost the Bumiputeras’ economy standing, it might have failed in terms of its implementation especially in dealing with the economic problem of 40% of the people in the lower-income group.
