Tongue-cutting incident: Pupil not bullied, police say
Abdul Samah said there was no proof that the boy was bullied to cut his own tongue.
The Standard two pupil who was allegedly forced to cut his own tongue was not bullied to do so, said Selangor police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat.
He said the pupil had accidentally done so while playing with his classmate’s scissors at Sekolah Rendah Bukit Tinggi in Klang.
Abdul Samah said there was no proof that the boy was bullied to cut his own tongue.
“The pupil was playing with his classmate’s scissors and had accidently cut his onw tongue causing it to bleed,” Abdul Samah said at a press conference today.
He said police now consider the case closed.
It was earlier reported the five pupils had threatened Muhammad Ali Shukran Alias, 8 that they would beat him up if he did not cut his tongue.

His teacher realised the incident when the boy was found with blood while coming out of the toilet.
