Former Sarawak footballer, Sazali Ramli dies
Former Sarawak football player, Sazali Mohamed Ramli, 45, died while jogging in a park in Bintulu on Sunday.
Sazali who is also an auxiliary police personnel with Petronas, Bintulu, allegedly died due to a heart attack.
A Bernama report quoted the General Manager of Petronas in Sarawak, Datin Mary Sadiah Zainuddin, as saying his death was a shock.
Mary Sadiah told Bernama, this is because he was in perfect health and did not suffer from any diseases.
"His death is a loss to Petronas and his fans," said Mary Sadiah who is also the wife of Sarawak Football Association President Datuk Sudarsono Osman.
His co-players include John Hunter, Jeff Curan, David Evans, Dahlan Matusin, Roslan Ismail, Abdul Jalil Ramli and Ibrahim Mentali.
In his glory days, he was the main striker for the state team.
