The National team strikers need to do something extra in front of the opponents' goal box to secure goals, said coach Dollah Salleh.
Dollah however said his boys would be polished in the training sessions in the next few days before the 2018 Russian World Cup (Asian) qualifying rounds next week.
"The team's performance was okay, especially in the second half we did well but still our front lacks instinct in scoring. We still need to be polished in terms of passing, especially in attacking support.
"I was more focused on the players selection last week that I could not focus on the team's preparation. We need to train as a team after this," Dollah told a press conference after the friendly tie against Hong Kong at Shah Alam Stadium here on Saturday.
The 'Harimau Malaya' squad were held to a goalless draw by the visitors after the national team failed to pass the ball across the Hong Kong's goal line despite having home ground advantage and tremendous support from local fans.
Dollah admitted that he was quite upset with his boys' lacklustre performance but promised to bounce back at the world cup qualifying rounds against Timur Leste on June 11 and Palestine on June 16 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, which also serves as the 2019 United Arab Emirates (UAE) Asian Cup qualifier.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong head coach, Kim Pangon said his team's spirit throughout the whole 90 minutes despite playing away was treasure for the side in preparing for the world cup qualifiers.
